When a wax sculptor's lifetime work goes up in flames, the embittered artist uses his fire-scarred hands to gain revenge on the world. He begins to create sculptures by encasing his human victims in wax, and with his barbaric methods kept secret, enjoys critical acclaim and commercial success. However, his work is disturbed by the investigations of a fearless young woman (Phyllis Kirk), who is determined to find out how her missing friend has come to a sticky end. Vincent Price stars in this cult classic, with Charles Bronson as his faithful servant, Igor.
