Psychological horror written and directed by Robert Altman. After receiving a phone call from a mystery woman explaining her husband Hugh (Rene Auberjonois) is having an affair, children's author Cathryn (Susannah York) is left devastated and confronts him on his return from work. Deciding a break will do them some good, Hugh arranges for the pair to go on a short holiday to the Irish countryside so Cathryn can escape the stresses of the city and work on her latest novel. However, not long after they arrive in Ireland, Cathryn begins to hear voices and see strange apparitions as her mental state continues to deteriorate further.
