Albert Maysles directs this documentary profiling the New York fashion icon Iris Apfel. The programme follows her extraordinary career which has seen her, with husband of 66-years Carl by her side, found the fabric manufacturing company Old World Weavers, work on the White House as an interior designer and lecture on fashion as a nonagenarian. The programme traces the couple's life together as they open up their much-photographed private homes, share home-made footage of their unique biannual global shopping trips and discuss their time together as Carl approaches his landmark 100th birthday. Friends and famous faces from the fashion industry also contribute their stories of the couple's career including photographer Bruce Weber, designer Dries van Noten and editor Margaret Russell.
