Bernt Capra directs this cautionary ecology tale for the Nineties, based on the book 'The Turning Point of Fritjof Capra', conceived to raise consciousness amongst viewers about how far their world view must change in order for the Earth to be saved. The message is delivered via the chance encounter of a US politician (Sam Waterston) and poet (John Heard) with a brilliant scientist recluse (Liv Ullmann) on Mont St. Michael in France.
