Film-maker Farida Pacha directs this documentary following a family of salt harvesters in the Gujarati desert of India. Each year, thousands of families travel to the area to extract salt from the ground, using the same techniques as others who have come generations before them. Filmed over eight months, the documentary shows the daily labours of these people and how they eke out an existence from the earth.
