Two films made for the 1991 bicentenary of the death of Mozart produced by Annette Moreau. The first is Peter Greenaway and Louis Andriessen's 'M Is For Man, Music and Mozart' a quirky and mesmerising visual exploration of the letter M. Set in a 17th century Theatre of Anatomy and this film blending computer graphics with the choreography and dance of Ben Craft. The second film is Jeremy Newson and Michael Nyman's 'Letters, Riddles And Writs', a mini-opera in which letters between Mozart and his father form the basis of the libretto. The composer is played by female vocalist Ute Lemper and David Thomas plays Mozart's father.
