Mark Hartley directs this documentary about the explosion of Australian genre cinema in the 1970s and early 80s. Following the lifting of repressive censorship laws at the end of the 1960s, a new breed of filmmakers revelled in wild excesses of full-frontal sex, bawdy comedies and blood-drenched horror schlock, now referred to collectively as Ozploitation cinema. The film includes interviews with many of the genre's key players as well as modern-day directors and actors including Quentin Tarantino, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dennis Hopper.
