Made-for-TV drama in which the survivors of a global nuclear catastrophe try to find a way to deal with the radioactive fallout. It's 2006 and most of the world has been devastated by a war between China and America. Australia is the only refuge for survivors, but, with the radioactive fallout from the war drifting ever closer, the future appears grim. The arrival of an American submarine, piloted by Commander Dwight Towers (Armand Assante), carries with it a ray of hope. The commander and a group of survivors set off in search of a radioactive free zone, but will also have to face the horrors of the war first-hand.
