Paul L. Stein directs this 1930s drama, based on the novel by Lady Eleanor Smith, set in and around a circus. Charles Bickford stars as Joe Prince, an orphan boy who achieves his lifelong dream of owning a circus when it is bequeathed to him. Apparently blind to the affections of tiger trainer Zara (Greta Nissen), Joe marries a gypsy girl, Sheba (Raquel Torres), but it turns out to be an unhappy union. With a rival circus threatening his patch, Joe has other problems to contend with. Will life imitate art and provide a happy ending?
