A collection of the four 'Samurai X' stories. In 'Trust', in battle-torn nineteenth century Japan, embittered orphan Kenshin is trained as an assassin by master swordsman Hiko. Although he dreams of world peace, Kenshin is trapped by the bloody reality of his existence until the arrival of Tomoe, a young woman who shows him kindness for the first time in his life. Can Tomoe help Kenshin find inner calm, or will the secret she keeps destroy him forever? In 'Betrayal' Kenshin and Tomoe escape from Kyoto and become simple farmers, learning a lot about themselves in the process. However, Tomoe is haunted by the ghosts of her past, and Kenshin's life is placed in jeopardy by a traitor attempting to halt the rebellion. In 'Reflection' the bloody war where Rurouni Kenshin gained his fame as a master assassin has long ended, yet he has found little peace. Finally, in the feature-length 'The Motion Picture' Rurouni Shigure Takimi watched his friends and family get slashed down in the name of freedom and prosperity. Now he and a band of desperate rebels have sworn to settle one final score. Only one man stands in their way: Rurouni Kenshin.
