Documentary exploring the nature and benefits of therapeutic role-playing, from British conceptual artist Gillian Wearing. To begin the project Wearing gathers seven volunteers together and asks them to attend Method Acting workshops run by teacher Sam Rumbelow. The idea is for ordinary citizens to learn how to act out and exercise their personal demons through performance art and to observe both the process and the result. Among the personal dramas that result include an unloved daughter's performance of portions of 'King Lear'.
