Synopsis

Steven Soderbergh writes and directs this award-winning drama starring Peter Gallagher, Andie MacDowell and James Spader. John and Ann Mullany (Gallagher and MacDowell) are an unhappily married couple, with John turning to Ann's sister Cynthia (Laura San Giacomo) for sexual satisfaction. When John's old college friend Graham (Spader) comes to town, John invites him to stay while he looks for an apartment. When Ann tries to get to know Graham, she learns that he likes to interview women about their sexuality, recording it on videotape for him to watch back later. Although at first shocked and disgusted by Graham's revelation, when Ann learns of her husband's affair she decides to make a videotape of herself...
