Double bill of Disney films based on the classic fairytale. In 'Maleficent' (2014) the beautiful Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) is a kind-natured woman but when she is betrayed while protecting her peaceful kingdom from an army invasion her heart begins to turn to stone. Maleficent takes her vengeance by putting a curse on Princess Aurora (Vivienne Jolie-Pitt), the young child of her enemy's successor. Over time, however, Aurora (Elle Fanning) grows into a young woman and Maleficent comes to understand that the princess may be the only one who can bring peace back to the kingdom. In the classic animation 'Sleeping Beauty' (1959), a curse is placed upon Princess Aurora (Mary Costa) by the evil fairy Maleficent (voice of Eleanor Audley) and the girl falls into a deep and endless sleep on her 16th birthday. Only a kiss from Prince Phillip (Bill Shirley) can wake her, and three good fairies set out to engineer that event.
