Drama with comic elements starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead as an elementary school teacher who sets out to overcome her alcoholism. Drinking has been a way of life for Kate Hannah (Winstead) for as long as she can remember. She grew up in a family that enjoyed a drink, has friends who love to go out and let their hair down and is married to Charlie (Aaron Paul), who shares her addiction to booze. However, when Kate begins to tire of hangovers and lying to her class about the effects of her drinking, she sets out to get clean and accompanies her colleague Dave (Nick Offerman) to an AA meeting. Kate is surprised to find that she enjoys life without alcohol, but with Charlie as committed as ever to indulging his love of drink problems begin to arise in their relationship...
