Stephen Norrington writes and directs this dark, visually experimental drama about the flipside of fame. Billy Byrne (Max Beesley) has always wanted to be famous, and with the help of his ruthless agent Walsh (Anthony Higgins), he achieves his goal. Feted by the London art scene, Byrne becomes a permanent fixture in the world's most exclusive clubs. His arrogance and excesses only serve to alientate his girlfriend Janey (Kate Ashfield) though, and before long Byrne finds himself without any real friends at all. When his star begins to wane, Byrne descends into a dark and dangerous world of drugs and petty crime. Crossing paths with the vicious gangster Grimshanks (Tom Bell), Byrne is completely washed up, until a chance meeting with a girl called Anna (Emily Corrie) seems to offer some kind of salvation.
