Volume 16 of the documentary series, in two parts. Using archive footage and eyewitness testimony, the first part recounts the history of the many millions of Axis and Allied soldiers who were taken prisoner over the course of the conflict, examining the differing conditions faced by prisoners in each country. The second part looks at the heroes of World War Two, the men and women who went beyond the call of duty to earn lasting distinction from their actions.
