Aaron Brookner directs this documentary in which he examines the life of his film-maker uncle Howard Brookner, who died of AIDS in 1989 at the age of 34. While searching for the lost print of Howard's first film, 'Burroughs: The Movie' (1983), Aaron discovers his uncle's unfinished collection of work in Burrough's former studio 'The Bunker' in New York's Bowery. He tries to gain an insight into his uncle's brief life and career by watching and reminiscing over the forgotten footage with film-makers Jim Jarmusch and Tom DiCillo, who both worked on the documentary of beat author William Burroughs at the outset of their careers.
