A down-on-his-luck fisherman lands an unexpected catch in this comedy debut from director Sylvain Estibal. Set against the backdrop of the Israeli-Palestinian struggle, luckless Gazan fisherman Jafaar (Sasson Gabay) literally lives under the shadow of the Israeli Army (they've requisitioned his roof to guard the road below). Barely managing to scrape a living from the local waters, his life changes overnight when pulling up his nets one day he lands not fish, but a 110-pound Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. Unfortunately, Jafaar's problems are only just beginning. Aware that his religion bans him from touching or eating the pig, and unable to kill it, he quickly embarks on a series of hair-brained schemes aimed at offloading the animal once and for all.
