Synopsis

American documentary centred on the career of Fred Rogers and his children's television series 'Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood'. The series first aired in 1968, and was created as a platform for educating young children. Amongst fun activities and field trips, Rogers would reassure children during difficult times such as the fallout of political assassinations and helped to explain everyday issues such as parental divorce and racism at an appropriate level. Rogers hosted the programme for 895 episodes, and became a household name across the United States.
