In Season 2, Tom tries to market his garden produce, his philosophy of life gains him two eager disciples and he and Barbara enjoy celebrity status after a journalist writes about them.
Barbara and Tom's early morning activities disturb Margo and Jerry, Margo and Jerry agree to help the runt of Perky's litter and Tom turns the rotary cultivator into a means of transport.
The final series sees Margo and Jerry persuading Tom and Barbara to consider a holiday. As events unfold, Tom learns Margo has been keeping appointments at a mysterious address; Barbara speaks at a women's group about her self-sufficient lifestyle; Margo persuades Jerry to buy her a spinning wheel; and Jerry has his eye on becoming the next managing director of JJM.
