The IT Crowd

Season 1 (2006)

'The IT Crowd' was highly anticipated before it landed on Channel 4 in 2006 because it was written by one of the co-writers of 'Father Ted'. The first series opened with the arrival of a 'relationship manager' causing ructions among the staff in an IT department - especially when they discover she knows nothing at all about computers, although having a woman in the team soon proves to have its benefits. In the second instalment, the office is set alight and Roy suffers a sudden attack of kleptomania, but Jen has more pressing matters - her new shoes are hurting her feet. Later in the series, Moss and Roy decide to test out a lonely hearts website, Roy runs the risk of being labelled a 'desk rabbit', Moss has his work cut out protecting Jen from the unwanted attentions of a would-be suitor, and Jen starts worrying when Moss and Roy start displaying terrible mood swings at a certain time of the month.

Season 2 (2007)

The series returned to Channel 4 in 2007 with six new episodes for series two. Philip (Jamie Michie) from the sixth floor asks Jen for a date - but Roy and Moss invite themselves along, spoiling her hopes of romance. As the series continues, Moss uses the internet to calculate when Roy will die, Reynholm Industries is rocked to the core when Denholm's son Douglas becomes the new boss, Moss enrols on a German cookery course to meet new people, and Jen is left with a difficult choice when the single male guests at her dinner party drop out at the last minute. Jen loses concentration in a board meeting because of an uncomfortable bra, so Moss decides to invent one that will not be such a distraction, and Jen has to deal with Douglas's unwelcome advances after he appoints her as his new personal assistant.

Season 3 (2008)

Jen has to deal with a difficult builder in series three and Moss learns how to stand up for himself against a bunch of ruffians. Roy and Moss revel in their masculinity when they discover a new football website, but the illusion does not last long, Moss suffers concussion and forgets everything he knows about computers, and Douglas finds the love of his life is not all she appears to be. Jen introduces Moss and Roy to a social networking website, but discovers some friends are better left in the past, and Reynholm Industries proudly announces its first foray into nude calendars.
